Coverage
1. How do I add a Coverage?
Coverages are added within a workspace as a change type.
Workspaces => Add Workspace =>Add Change => type - create new => select change type as Coverage"
2. Can I delete a Coverage that is added to a workspace?
Any change added in the workspace can be deleted. To delete a Coverage, select the check box against the Coverage and use the delete option against it or the 'other actions' drop-down.
3. What happens if I add a Coverage with the name that matches with the ones that already exist?
Duplicate coverages cannot be created. In doing so, the system will fetch and load the coverage that was created previously with same name along with the attributes, by throwing a warning message.
4. What can be modified in Coverage during an update?
Information such as display name, description, offer type, attributes such as display name, attribute type, data type (if not used anywhere) default value can be modified in Coverage.
5. Can I add same Coverage under two different parents?
No, a coverage can be added only under one Risk/Risk extensions.
6. What all can I add under Coverage?
Information such as name, display name, description, cardinality parent and parent type, and all the input and output attributes of the coverage can be added under Coverage.
7. Can I change the display name of Coverage?
Yes, the display name of a Coverage can be changed
8. What is cardinality?
Cardinality defines the measure of duplicity of the component in iFoundry.
9. Can I import more than one Coverage?
Yes. You can import as many coverages as needed, using Excel templates available in iFoundry, provided, you have sufficient information to import.
10. How many coverages can I import using Excel?
You can import as many coverages as you want using Excel templates available in iFoundry, provided, you have sufficient information to import
11. Can I import Coverages with different Risks as parents?
A coverage cannot be attached to two different Risks/Risk extensions. However multiple coverages can be added to different Risks/Risk extensions.
12. What happens if the Excel imported has the information about existing Coverages?
Any new attributes added to the coverages or the information that can be updated for attribute will be overridden during import. Rest remains same.
13. Can I add attributes under coverage with same display names?
Attributes with same display name can be added. However, names of those must be different.
14. Can I add attributes under coverage with duplicate names?
No . There cannot be duplicate names while adding attributes under any coverage.
15. What happens when coverage is marked as optional, conditionally optional, conditionally mandatory, mandatory?
The coverages are picked up according to the given offer type at the run time.
a) Optional coverages are available for user selection.
b) Mandatory coverages are available are default selected and user will not have option to unselect.
c) Conditionally Optional coverages comes selected based on condition but user can unselect if he does not need.
d) Conditionally Mandatory coverages are mandated based on condition user will not have option to unselect for other conditional these coverages wont show up.
e) Not Offered coverages will not show up on runtime manifestation.
16. Can I change the parent of the coverage?
No, once created, parent of the coverage cannot be changed. However you can delete the coverage if its not used anywhere and created with in the workspace
